These are some of the College’s most prestigious awards, recognizing excellence and honouring achievement in family medicine:
This award recognizes the achievements of a CFPC family physician member who is making an exceptional contribution to the welfare of the disabled in his/her community through practice, teaching, research, or advocacy. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2012.
These awards recognize CFPC members who in the past 12-24 months have made an outstanding contribution to the discipline of family medicine.
This award is given to the individual who achieved the highest standing among practice-eligible candidates in the CFPC’s Certification Examination in Family Medicine.
This award is given to the individual who achieved the highest standing among family medicine residents in the CFPC’s Certification Examination in Family Medicine.
These awards recognize the efforts of new family physician leaders of tomorrow for their outstanding contributions today. Nominees should exemplify the following criteria: leadership; innovation; initiative; and dedication. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2012.
This award recognizes the achievements of an outstanding CFPC family physician member who has shown leadership and advanced awareness to foster respect and understanding of minority or under-serviced populations. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2012.
These awards recognize the best narrative accounts of experiences in family medicine by family physician, family medicine residents, and medical students. The deadline to submit is April 1, 2012.
This award recognizes a CFPC family physician member who has demonstrated leadership in the area of environmental health. A recipient of this award is identified every odd-numbered year. The next award will be presented in 2013.
This award recognizes a Mainpro® accredited educational program that has provided an exceptional learning experience to practicing or practice-eligible CFPC members. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2012.
These awards recognize Senior members of the CFPC who made a significant sustained contribution to family medicine research during their active career years. This year, nominations will be accepted from individuals based in Ontario. The deadline to submit a nomination is April 1, 2012.
Recognizing the best research article published in a national or international journal during the preceding year. The deadline to submit a nomination is March 1, 2012.
Recognizing the best research article published in the Canadian Family Physician during the preceding year.
