DAY, Wednesday, November 26, 2008.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: APRIL 5, 2008
Presentations of accepted submissions will take place during the SOR
Research Day, at the
Sheraton Centre, Toronto,
Ontario.
A general call for posters to be presented at the FMF
(November 27-29) is posted separately.
SUBMISSION FORMAT REQUIREMENTS Abstracts must
follow these formats to be eligible for review:
- Type the entire title in upper-and lowercase letters, the complete name
(last name preceding first name or initials) of the first author, the
institutional affiliation, city, province, or state, followed by the names of
additional authors. Omit degrees, titles, and institutional appointments of
co-authors. Underline the name of the person(s)
presenting the paper.
- Abstracts will not be edited. Before submitting your abstract, check
carefully to make sure it contains no spelling or typographical
errors.
- Skip one line between the title of the abstract and author information and
the body of the abstract. The abstract should be aligned with the left
margin.
- The abstract should not contain charts, graphics, references, or
credits.
- When writing your abstract, it is suggested that you follow the format
described in ‘guidelines for articles’ at the Canadian Family Physician
journal Webpage at http://www.cfpc.ca/cfp/authors/guidelines.asp
- The word count is 175 for all abstracts (except qualitative, quantitative
and survey research abstracts, for which the word count is 300).
GENERAL RULES
- Research previously published at international
meetings is not acceptable.
- All paper and poster presenters must be registered for Research
Day and pay the registration fee.
- The Selection Committee reserves the right to decide
the presentation format of your submission.
- Abstracts may be submitted in English or French.
