National CPD Accreditation Conferences

4th National Acreditation Conference, September 20 & 21 in Toronto, Ontario

This annual, invitation-only conference is co-hosted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

Participation in this event is limited to identified staff from university continuing medical education (CME)/continuing professional development (CPD) offices, CFPC provincial Chapters, national specialty societies, accredited simulation programs, the Royal College’s CPD Accreditation Committee members, CFPC’s National CPD Committee members, MAINPRO® reviewers, the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), and provincial medical regulatory authorities.

Conference objectives:

  1. To foster collaboration among the many organizations and individuals involved in CPD accreditation.
  2. To enhance the standards and processes for the accreditation of CPD programs and providers.
  3. To promote innovation and excellence in the field of CPD.

The third iteration of this successful conference was held in Ottawa on September 26 and 27, 2011, and was attended by more than150 CPD professionals.
