CFPC launches Clinical Poverty Tool

 The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), eight of its provincial Chapters, and the territories, in collaboration with the Centre for Effective Practice (CEP), today launched a new resource called Poverty: A Clinical Tool for Primary Care Providers to help family physicians identify patients who may suffer health issues as a result of living in poverty.

CFPC Announces 'Top Docs'

The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) today announced the 2016 Family Physicians of the Year, the national recipients of the Reg L. Perkin Awards. The CFPC will present the awards on Friday, November 11th. The award ceremony is part of the 2016 Family Doctor Week in Canada celebrations that take place November 7–12 and includes Family Medicine Forum in Vancouver.

            CFPC releases New Choosing Wisely Canada™ Resource Toolkit

            The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) released today a Choosing Wisely Canada™ (CWC) toolkit to support family physicians and their patients as they engage in proactive discussions about appropriate testing and treatment. The CFPC and its Patient Education Committee, in collaboration with its key partners, developed new resources to help educate patients about preventive care.
