The postgraduate family medicine curriculum: an integrated approach.

The Committee on Curriculum established that their terms of reference were to:

  1. Review and make recommendations about all aspects of the family medicine curriculum and
  2. Define a process of ongoing review and liaison with relevant committees and university departments of family medicine

The committee hopes to provide a new direction for the training of those who wish to be family physicians, and we suggest major changes in how this training should occur.  Academic departments and tertiary care institutions will be challenged to make major shifts in their thinking and activities.
