Methods of Giving

Imagine the possibilities – Did you know that more than 200 awards, grants and scholarships in family medicine were awarded by the Research and Education Foundation (REF) last year? Donations to the REF support research and continuing education initiatives of family physicians, clinicians, researchers, teachers, medical students, and family medicine residents.

Your Opportunities to Support the Future of Family Medicine:

Cash or cheque donations: Send us your donation or annual pledge and we will issue you with a charitable receipt for the amount received. Frequent donors are eligible for our acknowledgment program.

Credit card donations: The Research and Education Foundation accepts donations through Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We will provide a charitable receipt for the amount received.

Monthly giving: a new opportunity for giving. If you wish to receive further information on this method with no obligation, complete our online form.

Commemorative gifts: Special acknowledgment will be given for chapters or members who wish to make a commemorative gift in the name of an individual's life-long contribution to family medicine or a special event through any of the giving opportunities listed above.

Planned giving: Leave your own lasting legacy to family medicine through a planned gift that minimizes estate taxes and maximizes benefits. Planned gifts may be bequests, life insurance, or charitable annuities. If you wish to receive further information about planned giving, complete our online form .
