Collaborative Advisory Group for General & Family Practice Anesthesia (CAGA)

To represent the interests of general and family physician members within the Member Interest Groups Sections (MIGS) in Family Practice Anesthesia (FPA) and to ensure discussion and communication within The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and its MIGS, the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) and the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS) about the issues relevant to these members.

General and family practice anesthetists have expressed a desire that CAGA continue to pursue the possibility of a special designation. The CFPC is currently examining how it can be more supportive to family physicians in this area of practice.
