The OCFP Annual Scientific Assembly (ASA) Call for Presentations is now open for 2013. The deadline for submissions is January 23 2013. The conference will take place at the Hilton Downtown Toronto November 28-30 2013.

          2014 Certification Examination in Family Medicine Results

          Results for the fall 2014 Certification Examination in Family Medicine are scheduled to be available before the end of the day on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. All candidates will be notified by e-mail as soon as the results have been released.

              In honour of the 60th anniversary of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the 20th anniversary of the Research and Education Foundation (REF), the CFPC received a congratulatory letter from the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada.

              A new resource to help family physicians support individuals with mental health and substance use problems

              October 23, 2018 – Montreal, Quebec Today, the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) launched the Best Advice guide: Recovery-Oriented Mental Health and Addiction Care in the Patient’s Medical Home at the Canadian Mental Health Association’s 3rd annual Mental Health for All (MH4A) Conference.

              On September 21, 2011, the College of Family Physicians of Canada officially released its new position paper called A Vision for Canada: Family Practice – The Patient’s Medical Home. The document provides an important vision of the future of frontline patient-centred care to meet the health care needs for all Canadians through specific goals and recommendations. Please see the full document, executive summary and news release.
