Following the Nominating Committee’s thorough application and interview process, the Board of Directors would like to put forward Dr. Michael Kalin, of Côte-Saint-Luc, Quebec, as a nominee for the available CFPC Board position based on his:
- Perspective as a bilingual individual in Quebec
- Broad clinical experiences in remote, rural, and urban care
- Perspective as the medical director of a large family medicine group with a diverse team representing different cultures, languages, religions, and backgrounds
- Perspective as Chef de table for the local Département régional de médecine générale
- Involvement in teaching
- Experience with boards and governance
- Understanding of legal matters
- Political acumen and understanding of public affairs and experience in government relations
