The BCCFP announces its annual award recipients

On May 19th we celebrated BC Family Doctor Day and honoured the recipients of the 2021 BCCFP awards. We received a record number of nominations for our awards this year: nearly 400 in total! Nominators told us stories of kindness, professionalism, support of colleagues and patients, ingenuity in clinical practice, and leadership in health care. With so many high-quality nominations, it was a real challenge to select the recipients. Read about the recipients.

Learn more about how we celebrated BC Family Doctor Day, including a special thank-you video with messages from some very familiar faces!

The QCFP in the media

QCFP President Dr. Caroline Laberge was interviewed for an article in Profession Santé about Choosing Wisely Quebec, the reins of which have been taken up by the QCFP.

Another article in Profession Santé tells us about a community of practice for physicians in residential and long-term care centres (CHSLDs) that the QCFP established in Quebec in the wake of COVID-19.

JUMO, the QCFP’s online mentorship platform, is the subject of a blog from the team at Élo Mentorat! Read the interview with our co-ordinator, Geneviève Bolduc, to learn more about this program.
