A new credential recognizing those who are professionally engaged in creating and offering continuing professional development (CPD) programs is now available: the Certified Professional in CPD (Healthcare), or CPC(HC). It is awarded by the Coalition for Physician Learning and Practice Improvement, of which the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) is a member.

Physicians and non-physicians who serve as CPD leaders, program developers, researchers, and administrators are eligible to apply. Senior CPD professionals with demonstrated track records of achievement in CPD are eligible to apply through the Leadership Route. Individuals who complete both the CPD Foundations and the Leading and Influencing Change in CPD programs that the University of Toronto offers online are eligible to apply through the Certificate Route.

Applications for the first cohort of recipients are being accepted until April 30, 2021.
