Celebrating family physicians across the province!
On May 19th, the British Columbia College of Family Physicians (BCCFP) celebrated Family Doctor Day: a day proclaimed in British Columbia and globally to recognize family doctors as a resource to their communities who provide comprehensive patient-centred care that improves the overall health of the population.

As part of the celebrations, the Chapter was pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 BCCFP awards. British Columbians took the time to nominate over 300 family physicians from across the province for the My Family Doctor Awards, while health care professionals nominated their colleagues for the Awards of Excellence.

This year, as well as acknowledging the invaluable role family physicians play in maintaining the health and well-being of all British Columbians, the BCCFP want to also thank allied health care colleagues across British Columbia and Canada for their incredible hard work and personal sacrifice.
