OCFP Advocacy
During November 2025 consultations on proposed scope expansion for several practitioners, the OCFP and CFPC voiced concerns about a proposed change that would allow certain psychologists to prescribe anti-depressants. We are pleased to see that the Ontario government is not reconsidering this proposal.

Panelists will discuss practical approaches to diagnosis, available pathways for patient support, and how to navigate gaps in the system. Treatment options will be explored in the second part of the session taking place in August.
