Congratulations to the recipients of the Nadine St-Pierre Award for 2025!

Congratulations to the recipients of the Nadine St-Pierre Award for 2025!

A team from the University of Montreal—with Dr. Jasmine Gaudet, Dr. Thomas Larente, Dr. Sarah-Ève Loiselle, and Dr. Éloi Prévost—distinguished itself with its project “La stratification cardiologique chez les patients avec DRS, en a-t-on réellement besoin?”

Produced in the form of a podcast, this study aims to explore issues related to stratification testing and highlights the most appropriate courses of action to take depending on the severity and risk of coronary artery disease. This shows that it is important to choose carefully who will undergo these tests, as doing more is not necessarily better for patients.

Congratulations to the team! The QCFP takes this opportunity to pay tribute once again to all the 2025 Award recipients.

Dr. Warren’s impressive community involvement, full-scope family practice with rural lens, and many contributions to family medicine have made her rise above the rest of the FPOY nominees for this year’s award cycle.

For more than ten years, the ACFP Awards program has celebrated family physicians, family medicine residents, medical students, and clinics who have shown excellence in family practice.

Ripples of Impact – Our Brand Story

Family medicine is where care often begins – in the trusted connection between you and your patients. From that single moment, a ripple extends outward: supporting families, strengthening communities, and shaping the health of our province.

We are proud to share a new chapter in our shared story: the launch of our refreshed brand and a redesigned website built with you in mind. To commemorate this moment and reinforce this messaging, we created a video that features our members, our new identity, and highlights our three pillars: Connect, Advocate, and Empower.

This is more than a new look – it’s a clearer, stronger way to support you, our members, and to amplify the vital role of family medicine in British Columbia. Watch the video and learn more about our brand story.

Launching the Circle of Impact Recognition Program

Fall marks the start of another vibrant season of BCCFP member events and initiatives, and this year we have some important updates!

Last year, almost half of our Board members were newly elected, bringing fresh perspectives to our work. With no terms ending this year, the composition of the BCCFP Board of Directors will remain the same for 2025/26 – allowing us to build on the momentum and remain focused on supporting you.

While there’s no election this year, there are still meaningful ways for you to get involved. One of the most impactful is through our reimagined recognition program: Circle of Impact.

Launched in September 2025, the Circle of Impact has evolved from the previous Exceptional Teaching Honour and College Coin awards to better reflect the expansive influence you have in their communities.
