Ripples of Impact: Our 2024/25 Annual Report

Ripples of Impact: Our 2024/25 Annual Report

As we reflect on the past year, we're excited to share how your membership and engagement have created powerful ripples of impact across British Columbia's family medicine landscape.

In August 2024, we set three clear priorities for 2025–2028: Bold Advocacy, Focused Support, and Strategic Partnerships. We’re proud to demonstrate how these commitments are already delivering meaningful results for you and your patients.

This year's annual report features a new interactive and impact-driven format that brings our achievements to life through dynamic visuals and clear metrics.

We invite you to explore the report in full.

29 family physicians and 250 students – Dinner with Docs 2025

29 family physicians and 250 students - Dinner with Docs 2025

Over 250 medical students gathered with family physicians across British Columbia this year in our Dinner With Docs series! This event creates a space for meaningful conversations over a shared meal, connecting, inspiring, and building lasting interest in family medicine.

This year's enthusiastic response reflected our members' commitment to mentoring the next generation. Family physicians across four cities—Prince George (September 18th), Vancouver (October 7th), Kelowna (October 9th), and Victoria (October 27th)—shared their experiences, offering guidance to students considering careers in family medicine.

Twenty-nine family physicians volunteered their time and expertise, demonstrating the generosity and dedication that defines family medicine. These conversations matter as they help students envision themselves as family physicians, understand the rewards of comprehensive patient care, and see the vital role they will play in their communities.

Circle of Impact Recognition Program

Family physicians' contributions extend far beyond individual patient encounters. Whether through teaching, advocacy, leadership, or promoting equity in healthcare, their work creates ripples of positive change that touch countless lives.  Launched in September 2025, the Circle of Impact has evolved from the previous Exceptional Teaching Honour and College Coin awards to better reflect the expansive influence family medicine has in communities all across British Columbia.
