COVID-19 Community of Practice

The Changing the Way We Work COVID-19 Community of Practice for family physicians, created in partnership with the OCFP and University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community Medicine, held its 89th session on April 4th. The recording, slide deck and Q&A are available for review. The next session is planned for May 2, 2025.

Practising Well Community of Practice

Join the Practising Well Community of Practice on May 28th, as our panel discusses how undiagnosed ADHD can lead to declining productivity at work or school, diagnostic tools that can help diagnose patients, and other resources to support patients with ADHD and co-occurring medical conditions. Registration is now open.

All of our past Practising Well sessions are available as self-learning modules. To earn Mainpro+® credits, review the recording of any past sessions (which include topics on ADHD, Indigenous cultural safety, gender affirming care, and physician wellness) and complete a self-evaluation survey. Alberta-based family physician volunteers needed for student shadowing program

Together with the Alberta Medical Association’s sections of Family Medicine and of Rural Medicine, the ACFP is looking for family physician volunteers to be part of the 2025 Student Shadowing Program. Whatever and wherever you practice, this is an amazing opportunity to show incoming medical students the breadth and depth of family medicine and help inspire them to make family medicine their specialty of choice.
