Dear Colleagues,

It’s National Volunteer Week and this year’s theme is “Volunteers Make Waves. Together, we create ripples of change.”

Thank you for creating change within the family medicine landscape. Through your contributions on committees, sections, award reviews, councils, working groups, and sharing your voice, the CFPC has been able to advocate and see positive movement on issues that matter the most to you. This includes decreasing administrative burden, increasing compensation, and supporting team-based care.

With your help we will continue making waves at all levels of government, reminding them that family doctors are the backbone of our health care system. By supporting you, they are also supporting the health and well-being of everyone in Canada.

We are grateful for your commitment and dedication to the practice of family medicine and to the CFPC, your professional home.

Sincerely,

Michael Allan, MD, CCFP, FCFP
Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer
