Sophie Wager

Co-Chair, M3, University of Toronto

Sophie Wagner (she/her) is a third‑year medical student at the University of Toronto with a strong interest in family medicine and women’s health. She serves as the Co‑Chair of the CFPC’s Section of Medical Students (SOMS) Council.

Sophie has been actively involved in family medicine–focused student initiatives and is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm for primary care with learners across the country. She is drawn to the continuity, breadth, and community impact of comprehensive family practice, with particular interests in women’s health and in developing trauma‑informed, culturally sensitive approaches to care. She is also committed to advocacy at the patient, community, and policy levels and to addressing misconceptions about family medicine among medical students.

Through her role on SOMS, Sophie looks forward to collaborating with student leaders nationwide to elevate the student voice, strengthen engagement across regions, and inspire the next generation of family physicians.

Outside of medicine, Sophie enjoys gardening, hiking, and trying new arts and crafts projects.
