The CFPC and the FAFM proudly announce the 2021 Family Physicians of the Year

(Mississauga, ON) The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine (FAFM) are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021 Reg L. Perkin Family Physicians of the Year awards. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of family doctors from across Canada and will be presented at Virtual Family Medicine Forum during the Awards Gala on Friday, November 12th.

“We are incredibly proud of the 2021 Family Physicians of the Year. These exceptional family physicians are working tirelessly in their communities, demonstrating leadership and resilience—especially during this difficult time through the pandemic,” says FAFM Board of Directors Chair Jeanette Boyd, MD, CCFP, FCFP. “This diverse group is recognized for their dedicated service in rural, remote and urban communities across Canada including primary care, care for Indigenous populations; working with vulnerable and homeless populations; serving in long term care settings; providing emergency medicine in small communities; teaching and mentoring future generations of family medicine practitioners and other health care providers. We are very proud to acknowledge their accomplishments that make a significant difference to their patients.”
