How is the content for the Self Learning program developed?
Question writers are family physicians from across Canada. They develop the questions based on articles from current peer-reviewed journals. The Educational Point for each question contains information drawn from these articles to support the question. The Self Learning National Committee reviews all submitted questions before they are chosen for each volume. Visit About the Program to learn more.

How long can I access the online volumes I have purchased?
Online access to purchased volumes is available for five years from the subscription purchase date.

Can I purchase previously published volumes?
Subscribers can purchase previously published volumes. Select ‘Back Issues’ from your Dashboard to make your purchase.

How does the sample content work?
The sample content provides new subscribers 30-day access to the current online Self Learning volume—no purchase necessary! Sample volumes are not eligible for Mainpro credits. Try Now.

Will the credits automatically transfer to my Mainpro+ account?
Credits are not automatically transferred to your Mainpro+ account. The interactive version provided on the Self Learning website is for your convenience and learning experience. Credits earned per issue (five certified credits per issue) will be applied to your account after completing the Impact Assessment through your Mainpro+ account. The Self Learning Impact Assessment form is available in the Mainpro+ area where all other CPD credits are claimed.

Can I claim certified credits for older volumes?
We have removed the one-year deadline to claim your certified credits. You can now claim credits for any Self Learning volume published within your Mainpro+ cycle dates.
