Curriculum Collaborative for Family Medicine
Registration Opening Soon!
Explore, Engage, Improve
An educational community of practice where you can reflect on, learn from, and grow in your curriculum improvement efforts.
Postgraduate medical education is full of amazing potential. We know that curriculum change is hard work, and too often we try to do it on our own. We also know that educational leaders and curriculum designers need more than a new box of materials. Needed are defined expectations, relevant content, creative pedagogy, and a process that brings it all together.
Among national activities to support residency programs, the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) has launched a Curriculum Collaborative <will link to the platform throughout> that uses a community of practice concept, that will facilitate knowledge sharing, learning, and professional development among educators, and provide a space to exchange experiences, practices, and expertise.
Once you register <will link to registration survey> and join the Curriculum Collaborative, you will have exclusive access to curriculum design resources, faculty development events (online and in-person sessions), and peer collaboration and support.
Within the Curriculum Collaborative are individual workspaces that will allow you to dig deeper into specific curricular areas.
These include:
- Health Equity
- Indigenous Health
- Mental Health and Addiction Care
- Digital Health
- Home and Long-Term Care
- Emergency and Acute Care Medicine
- Assessment of Procedural Skills
- Advocacy, Consultancy, Leadership, and Scholarship in Enhanced Skills
In each workspace, you will be able to access and add to a resource library and participate in peer discussions.
