The Committee on Examinations – Emergency Medicine is made up of experienced and certified family medicine physicians who develop content for and implement the Examination of Added Competence in Emergency Medicine.

What we do
Responsibilities of the Committee on Examination – Emergency Medicine:
- Determine the design, content, and scoring of the Examination of Added Competence in Emergency Medicine
- Make recommendations to the Board of Examiners regarding the implementation of the Examination of Added Competence in Emergency Medicine
- Make recommendations and participate in areas of research into the certification process
- Establish and maintain a bank of examination material
- Establish and maintain examination protocols
Prepare information about the examination process for program directors and potential candidates
