Physician Wellness+ Initiative
The College of Family Physicians of Canada is pleased to receive funding from the Physician Wellness+ Initiative. The Canadian Medical Association (CMA), MD Financial Management Inc. (MD) and Scotiabank are providing CFPC with funds to address the urgent and ongoing health and wellness needs of family physicians and medical learners.
The CMA, MD and Scotiabank together are firmly committed to supporting the medical profession and advancing health in Canada. As proof of this commitment, Scotiabank, in collaboration with the CMA and MD, is investing $115 million over 10 years to support physicians and the communities they serve across Canada.

Physician Wellness Retreat
May 23 – 26, 2024 — Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Kananaskis AlbertaAn educational and wellness experience designed by family physicians for family physicians.

Physician Wellness and Resilience Member Interest Group
Do you want to stay connected with other physicians who are interested in physician wellness? Check out the Physician Wellness and Resilience group in the Member Interest Groups Section (MIGS). This group connects family physicians across Canada to address cultural, organizational, systemic, and individual factors that act as barriers to physician wellness and resilience.Members connect via a secured online platform, networking events, and through project work.

Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Physician Wellness Hub
The CMA created the Physician Wellness Hub to assist physicians and relevant stakeholders in facilitating physician wellness. Resources are available for physicians and medical learners, leaders, and educators.The CFPC’s Physician Wellness+ Initiative has been made possible through the Physician Wellness+ Initiative fund.
