The College of Family Physicians (CFPC) is thrilled to host the Physician Wellness Retreat, back for the third year! Join us May 21–24, 2026, for a renewing personal and professional experience.

Thursday: Arrive at your leisure and enjoy the gorgeous resort. Take in the spa or relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Friday and Saturday: Enjoy a full breakfast, keynote presentation, concurrent sessions, lunch, optional wellness activities, and a group dinner.

Sunday: Full breakfast, closing ceremonies and departure by Noon.

  • Travel and Accommodations

    • Accommodations - Book your group rate for CFPC 2026 Physician Wellness Retreat. The CFPC has secured a block of rooms at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge at discounted rates. If you require special accommodations, access to suites, or additional pre- or post-event nights, please call the resort at 1-833-440-1964. Space is limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
    • Travel – Save money on flights to the Physician Wellness Retreat. The CFPC secured discount fares on Air Canada, Porter, and WestJet to and from Calgary for the retreat.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Q: Who should is eligible to register as an attendee?

    A: All physicians and health care professionals are invited to attend this event. At the retreat, you will have access to all keynotes, sessions, meals, and optional wellness activities. All attendees will receive a certificate of credits earned. CFPC members will receive Direct Credit Entry.


    Q: What does a guest pass include?

    A: A guest pass includes access to all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the retreat), the keynotes on Friday and Saturday, the panel discussion on Sunday and access to optional wellness activities.


    Q: Can I bring my family members, including children?

    A: The CFPC Physician Wellness Retreat is designed for an adult audience, and the meals and buffets provided reflect this focus. Older children (13+) can be registered as a guest to attend all meals. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to request to bring younger children to any of the meals.

    All family members, including children, are welcomed at the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, which offers family friendly and group activities such as nature walks, swimming, and more.     Q: How do I learn about speaking opportunities at the event?

    A: If you’d like to present at the retreat, please email [email protected] with your name, topic, presentation details, and relevant experience. Our scientific planning committee reviews all submissions when building the speaker list. Planning is already well under way for the 2026 event, so while we may not be able to review or respond to every proposal this year, we’ll keep yours on file and may consider it for future events.     Q: What is the cancellation and refund policy?

    A: The cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
    • Cancel by January 15, 2026, for a full refund, less a $50 processing fee
    • Cancel by February 15, 2026, for a 50 per cent refund, less a $50 processing fee
    • Registration fees are non-refundable after February 15, 2026
    • All wellness activities and shuttle fees are fully non-refundable
